This book is gratefully dedicated to the many descendants of the 65 people who were residents of the Halfway Creek Community when Rev. Alva Gregg visited in 1941.
Since the early days of Carolina a small, blighted community has existed at Halfway Creek. It was comprised of a scattering of two-room cabins situated along Halfway Creek Road which constitutes a section of the line dividing two counties, Charleston and Berkeley.
In 1828, a Methodist church, built of logs, was constructed there. This is the story of that Church and it's Community.
Text written by Walter Bonner, with article by John Lofton.  Photographs & editing by Selden B. Hill.
