Bonny's Barn

The Whole Place Preservation of Bonny's Barn.  A Historical and Cultural Survey Prepared February 15, 2021 by Jessica K. Garrett.  Commission by The Village Museum, Lowcountry Land Trust, & South Carolina Dept. of Parks, Recreation & Tourism.  This initiative seeks not only to document the history of the man-made structure that is Bonny's Barn, but also to explore how Bonny's Barn relates to the regional landscape and the South Santee, Germantown, and McClellanville communities that surrounded it.  Moreover, the end goal is to protect the site in its entirety, including its natural, cultural, historical, and social values by utilizing tools from the fields of historic preservation and land conservation.
