From its very beginning, McClellanville has been a place dotted with homesteads nestled among long leaf pines, sugar maples, palmettos and ancient, shading live oaks. It is easy to say that McClellanville is a place made up of thousands of beautiful, large, and amazing old trees, a few semi-grand homes, a small number of quirky shops, and a tiny group of mostly congenial people.
